JunkAway Inc. ("JunkAway," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. By using JunkAway, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide Directly

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number
  • Booking details: pickup address, junk type, volume, special instructions
  • Photos you upload of items for removal
  • Provider credentials: insurance certificates, driver license, background check consent
  • Payment information (processed and stored by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
  • Communications: support tickets, dispute submissions, reviews

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, booking flow interactions, timestamps
  • Location data: pickup coordinates you provide; Provider GPS location during active jobs (with consent)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)

Information from Third Parties

  • Stripe: payment status, transaction IDs (no raw card data)
  • Background check providers: criminal and MVR screening results for Providers
  • OAuth providers: profile information if you sign in via a third-party identity provider

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

  • With Providers: When a booking is assigned, we share your pickup address, contact name, booking details, and uploaded photos with the assigned Provider.
  • With Customers: Provider name, profile photo, vehicle type, and real-time GPS location (during active jobs) are shared with the Customer who booked the job.
  • Service Providers: We use trusted third-party vendors (Stripe for payments, AWS S3 for file storage, background check providers) contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
